After two great days at DMEXCO Cologne last week we’ve all arrived back safe and sound in our respective hometowns. We enjoyed seminars, interesting conversations, networking opportunities and of course all the great booths of the various vendors.
Let´s start at the beginning: the Wagawin team started into the DMEXCO shenanigans already a day early on Tuesday evening with our Wagawin Wine Tasting event. We invited partners, friends and customers to gain some wine knowledge with us – Did you know that Israel has really great Syrah? – and to learn more about what Wagawin is up to and what new developments you can expect from us in the future. In this relaxed and fun atmosphere new friends were made and partnerships tightened. If you are interested in what you have missed, check out our photo gallery on LinkedIn.
The official day one started for some of us with a great breakfast provided by OMD and another opportunity for some networking. From there on out, our team was covering all corners of the conference halls to learn as much as possible about this year’s theme, “Trust in You”. Great meetings with our partners were held and interesting talks from across the spectrum, from Instagram to publishers and AI, were visited. With around 1.000 different exhibitors, every visitor could find something to learn, people to connect with, and new knowledge to take home. The new and improved DMEXCO App helped avoid getting lost and to make sure you could find what you were looking for.
Going into day two, we started refreshed and ready to learn. After getting a good overview of what is new and where to find which booth on the first day, we enjoyed the remaining time to revisit and to attend additional talks. This year’s hall 6 with all our favorite tech giants was nothing short of amazing, with great designs like Salesforce`s wood chalet or Facebook`s grass emoji. Hall 9, home of the Future Park, was also a place to peak into new and upcoming startups and listen to some interesting conversations of what are the next trends to break into the scene. Especially interesting was a giant you might not expect in a startup environment. Henkel with its new division Henkel X, an organization founded for supporting entrepreneurial transformation.
